Country Farm Events

A Country Farm currently produces one annual event in the middle of October: Country Farm Fest.  However, we also offer U-Pick Pumpkins and other farm activities 1–31 October.

Country Farm Fest

The Country Farm Fest is a family-produced event created to celebrate fall, foster community involvement, and provide good, clean, country fun for the entire family.

Join us as we celebrate our 10th anniversary!

October 13, 14 & 19, 20, 21
10:00 am – 9:00 pm

Admission is free. Most activities cost between 50 cents and $1.00 per person. Specialty vendors fees vary. For a more detailed list of activities and their costs, see the Farm Activity Menu on the Farm Field Trips page.

What's New

We are excited to introduce the following new elements to the festival.

Fun Pass

In celebration of our 10th anniversary, we have developed a $10 Fun Pass to select activities at the Country Farm Fest (a $12 value!).  The attached rubber-band makes this punch card easily accessible when wrapped around a wrist.  Simply hand it to the attendant who will punch or mark the activity and off you go!  This value pass will keep kids busy a good part of a day.

Coloring Contest

The Did You Know? Coloring Contest booklet is full of interesting facts about agriculture. Kids can have fun coloring while learning about animals and farming. Enter for a chance to win a Fun Pass (see details above) to activities redeemable at the Country Farm Fest.

Silent Auction/Fundraiser

This year, funds raised will benefit the West Mountain Heartbreakers 4-H Horse Club.

Make-It/Take-It Crafts

This year we have added another new project to our ever-popular Make-It/Take-It line-up:

I-Spy Bottles

For crafters of any age. A uniquely shaped glass bottle soon becomes a hunt for hidden treasure. This quick, fun project will provide hours of entertainment for years to come.  Make it for yourself or give it as a gift.  How many things can your eye spy?

Explore the grounds and discover interesting facts about agriculture through our “Did You Know?” signage. This fun-filled journey is a great educational experience for guests of all ages.

Have an interesting fact you would like to share? Contact us. Together, we can teach others about Agriculture.

We have been told we’re “The Best Kid Carnival in the West!”
No surveys have been taken to qualify this statement, but we are proud to be considered for this acclaim just the same.

 Make-It / Take-It Crafts

These fun hands-on activities encourage participants to explore their creativity while giving new life to recycled materials.

I-Spy Bottles

A uniquely shaped glass bottle becomes a hunt for hidden treasure. This quick, fun project will provide hours of entertainment for years to come.

Pocket Purse

Transform an old jean pocket, colorful fabric braids, and other embellishments to create a must-have accessory for girls of all ages.

Wacky Witches

Cutting and pasting skills are used to magically transform a simple egg carton into a witches face.

Craft Bags

An ordinary brown kraft bag with handles is embellished with paper cutouts and stickers; a quick, easy project perfect for young crafters.

Create-a-Creature

Participants use a brightly painted dried gourd as a body; then add eyes, feathers, feet, etc. to create a one-of-a-kind creature.

Silly Snakes

Create a fun—and not-so-scarey—serpent.by stringing together corn cobs and beads.

Trick-or-Treat Buckets

This fun project allows kids to customize a recycled purple can by adding paper cutouts: a yellow moon, a black bat and cat, an orange pumpkin, a ghost, spooky house and tree, etc. to create their own Halloween treat container.

Open-Air Entertainment

Every year talented entertainers donate their time and talents free of charge for all to enjoy. We are extremely grateful for their generosity. Come help us bless them with an abundant audience.

Music

Guests are invited to enjoy free performances by Many Strings, a husband and wife team nominated for duo group of the year 2013 by the Western Music Association.  Please see the Event Schedule for dates and times.

Demonstrations

Arctic Rescue, based in Utah, saves more than 100 dogs a year—usually Siberian  and Alaskan Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes.  Discover more about these smart, beautiful  breeds and their unique needs at their booth on 14, 15, & 21, 22 October.  With the help of a few of their wards, Arctic Rescue will provide sled-pulling demonstrations at 11:45am each of these days.

Farm Fresh Market

Our Farm Fresh Market specializes in falls bounty and provides a venue for a large variety of pumpkins, winter squash, gourds, seasonal fruits and fall decorations.

Along with other offerings located inside the barn, the Corn Sandbox is where kids can jump in and play to their hearts content.  One of agriculture's finest products, these golden pellets entertain the kids then, after the Fest, they become feed for our pigs.

Enjoy a complimentary game of
pumpkin checkers or take a hay ride to the pumpkin patch.  The wagon leaves about every 15 minutes.

Silent Auction/Fundraiser

Join us in our commitment to community involvement. We invite business owners and/or organizations to donate/create fall displays that will advertise their business, group, cause, etc. Country Farm Fest attendees will be able to view and bid on displays all 5 days of the festival. Through this advertising/fundraising element of the festival your business, cause, etc. gains exposure through signage placed next to artful displays while raising funds for many worthwhile organizations and people in need within our community.

If you have a worthy cause or if you would like to advertise your business by donating a display, please contact us.
